7 Steps to Guru Status

#1 You must specialize
Many Trainers resist truly specializing (and getting known for it) and continue struggling for many months or years!
#2 You must package your solutions
Before you "package" your expertise into programmes, some prospects just don't really "get" all that you can help them with. Until you get clarity on how you can fully help your clients, your message (and your bottomline) will suffer.
The best way to get clear about what you offer is to package your knowledge into repeatable solutions. It will save you a lot of time, and will make your services a lot more attractive to clients.
#3 You must take daily self-promotional actions.
Most trainers who struggle financially simply sit and wait for clients to call. Instead take small but consistent actions toward self-promotion. The key is to integrate self-promotion into what you already normally do, so it doesn't take extra time!
#4 You must create passive income
There is nothing better than coming back from holiday and finding that your business generated income while you were away. This is what gives you peace of mind and allows you to build a real sustainable business.
Since each product solves a specific problem, it can also save a lot of time when working with clients. This is not difficult to achieve, but you must observe your target clients and create solutions to their problems.
#5 You must create residual income
Residual income is passive income that builds up over time. Eventually, this does not require any extra work on your part!
#6 You must be perceived as the best in your field
In the world of "ME-too" many trainers find themselves lost and unable to stand out. There are clients for every trainer out there, but you must always find ways to be different and to be better. This is not about competition. It's about establishing yourself as the number one (or the ONLY one) in your market to work with!
#7 You must create systems in your business
When you have just a few clients, running your business is easy. But once you reach a point of expert status, with clients, products, membership sites, live events and strategic alliances, look out! Your life could be taken over by your business very quickly.
To avoid this, you must develop systems in your business: systems for working with clients, processing payments, handling e-mail and customer support, publishing articles and a newsletter, running your web sites, and managing your schedule.
