Bally Personal Trainer Pay

(Alexandria, Virginia)

I work full-time for Bally Total Fitness in Alexandria, Virginia. My billing rate varies from a low of $74 to a high of $80 per hour. I get to keep $43 of each personal training session but I don't receive any extra commission for each session.

Sometimes Bally's will give us bonuses. I have been very fortunate to accumulate over 30 steady clients over the last 5 years and this year I expect to earn just over $100k. The income is a bit seasonal with a summer slow period but I just work extra in the winter to compensate.

Thanks for sharing your Bally pay information

It is great that you are so successful training at Bally Total Fitness. It takes time to build up 30 steady clients even if you work in a popular location like Bally's. And now you get the payoff.

While you are making over half of what the client is paying, at some point you may consider training independently in order to retain a larger portion of the revenue. It's a big step but that is what Step 4 of our site is all about.

Way to go

I read the other comment on you going on your own, but I can understand why you don't. Bally's gives you the equipment and member base to work off of, along with the marketing and system to process payments. It's not as easy on your own (that is if you want to stay legal. Off the books it's easy as pie but a lot harder to secure payment). Congratulations, and I hope their are more trainers out their with the desire to make that money doing something they love to do.
