Being an inspiration as personal trainer

by Amarjeeth
(Bangalore, India)

Being a personal trainer has been a great experience. As I myself had a high opinion of my personal trainer. I chose this profession merely on the basis of having a healthy physique, but now it has become my passion to train people and inspire them to be aware of health and not only that but to have a great body too.

This profession has brought in me a lot of happy moments when young people credit their great physique to me after getting immense appreciation from their partners or friends. These moments definitely light up the work you have spent in shaping up the bodies.

The most drastic change has been in the personal outlook on various perspectives of life and dealing with situations on the personal front. The physical training has not only helped people to have a great body but this change brings in a lot of self confidence and my trainees do face it with success.

I feel and tell all my trainees that god has created us with such a pure body to start with and we should keep up to the sanctity of the gift that god has given us. The fact that people respect that the body and health is God's gift and it is up to us to keep that gift in a way he likes us to have it as pure as it should be.

Thats why I love to be a personal trainer. Believe me its great!!!

I really appreciated the comment you made about our bodies and health being God's gift. I could not agree more. God gives us every resource we need to stay healthy and fit, it's just up to us to use them. I feel very blessed to be a resource to others who want to live healthier and get in shape, and get paid while doing it!

Freedom and creative exspression

The best thing about personal training is being free to create unique programs. I was constantly learning new techniques and ways to make training fun and different from the cookie cutter trainers on staff with me. Client would say, "I want you to teach me Billy Blanks boxing." Well lucky for me his Sherman Oaks classes were down the street from my house. My client paid for me to take his classes and train her in technique at our gym. It's such a great feeling to have clients look up to you and respect you as a professional. I was pretty independent and basically told my manager to leave me alone and let me make members happy my way. It was working and I always produced top sales. I truely miss my clients and find myself answering the question of what I would do if money wasn't important.....always go back to, I would be the best personal trainer with a waiting list and challenging clients.
