Cooper Certification Exam

I took the exam in December and passed with a high score. To prepare for the exam I attended a day and a half applied course at the Cooper Institute, rather than the elite four day course.

Because I do not have a kinesiology background like many of the trainers at the gym I belong to do, I studied the materials provided by the Cooper Institute extensively. They offer a DVD of the lectures, which is basically the same information provided in the written materials. If you learn better watching a DVD versus reading, then you might consider purchasing the DVD also.

I believe that if you apply yourself and become very familiar with the materials, you can pass the exam with little trouble. Of course, it is a good idea to actually learn the material so that you can use it on the job. I was very impressed with the professional atmosphere at the Cooper Institute, and with the quality of the presenters.
