Dealing with Stinky Clients

by Amarjeeth
(Bangalore, India)

The worst part of being a personal trainer is to deal with the personal hygiene of the client. The first part of my training session deals with the importance of cleanliness and way to beat the sweat and stink the natural way than to cover it up with a pungent odor of a deodorant or perfume.

It does work with majority of the clients but a few are really hard to crack. These individuals are unpleasant and unwanted by other members of the gym.

I had developed many ways to deal with the problem,
a)I made the gym a well ventilated and well lighted place and furnished it with lots of plants inside the gym.
b) Slotted the people who have problems with the smell of sweat at a different time and
c) Built a shower room and instructed all to get a pre and post exercise bath with an antiseptic soap.

Its hard to manage the subtle problems but can be managed with a lot of patience.
