Shoulder Extension
by: jaytrainer

I'm sorry to inform whoever wrote the last comment was wrong. The subscapularis is in fact a shoulder stabalizer muscle making up one of four main rotator cuff muscles. However, the subscapularis' primary action is to medially rotate and adduct the humerus.
Therefore the answer you were looking for as far as shoulder extension is Latissimus Dorsi and Teres Major primarily...along with Posterior Deltoid, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor, long head of Triceps and the sternal head of Pectoralis Major.
Hope that helps you!

Shouler Extension

I agree with the second answer. The four primary movers are Triceps Brachii, Latissimus dorsi, posterier deltoid and teres major. That is my answer but I suggest further study I may have missed some. Good Luck hope this helps

PRIMARY: Posterior Deltoid, Tricep, Rhomboids, Teres Major, also little known that the trapezius is used in this manner as well, not just lifting the scapula. SECONDARY: Lateral Deltoid, Outter-most Pecotalis Major. and TETIARY: will be all of the aforementioned stabilizers in the previous blogs posted. Hope that helps.
