HELP! I'm at a fork in the road...

by FOCUSED
(Green Bay, Wisconsin)

I completed the Fitness/Nutrition Diploma program through Penn Foster Career school in 2007 as well as an undergrad certificate in Sport Management. I have taken a personal training workshop sometime ago through a local gym in my area who have since closed down. I am currently seeking my sport strength and conditioning cerfication. I love working out and inspiring others to live a healthier lifestyle. My overall goal is to open a dance/fitness studio, but I feel like I don't have what it takes to do so. I have taught dance for many years as well as an assistant bandfront director for 10 yrs. Is there anything else that I should acquire before taking the business step?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Good Luck and Go For It!
by: Laura Personal Trainer

Have you considered a partner? Or an invester? Also myownbusiness.org has more indept info. on running your own business and all the things you should do before hand. You have alot of experience, plenty enough to train others. Don't hesitate on using and combing all experience you have, just because it may not seem to relate directly to training others doesn't mean it won't come in handy.
