If I train at a gym for a gym on a contract can I also do online training on my own?

I worked at golds gym for a while and was not supposed to train in a 5 mile radius of the gym. Would online be the same? Or could I make a web site and generate business with that as well with Skype and online advice and services while being employed as a trainer at a gym?

If the gym does not offer online services, I doubt that they would restrict your ability to do the same. But it all comes down to the contract you entered into. Make sure you read what you are signing as it can have a big impact on the bottom line
