My Hair or My Health?

Too many times, we take our health for granted. We may get our hair done every week or faithfully have our favorite fast food 3 times a week. But we cringe at the thought of buying organic vegetables, or joining a gym, or hiring a personal trainer. Why is that? Why is it, that what's best for us can be so hard, and what's hurting us, can be so easy to do?

I challenge you today to stop taking your health and life for granted. Make a different choice; make the best choice to be at your best in mind, body, and soul. Health is so important because without it, you really can't enjoy life to the fullest. You can have all the money in the world but if you're dying of cancer, it won't mean a thing. You can have a wonderful husband, a beautiful wife but if you're too sick to even hold them at night, your heart will ache.

Here's the good news! Our bodies are designed in such a way that you can actually begin to reverse even the most negative affects through good nutrition and exercise. It's amazing how something as simple as eating four servings of vegetables a day can help restore the body to total health. I've personally experience the power of cleansing through juicing on a 3 day fast. I had so much energy, it should have been illegal. I could have cleaned 10 houses and 10 cars, and I still would have had enough time to write a book. Yes, it's nothing wrong with treating yourself to the salon, the spa, that restaurant, and while all of these are treats you can live with or without, health is a necessity to a quality life.

Life is so precious and let's stop taking it for granted. Let's start making a choice to choose LIFE. Choose better foods; choose to invest more in your health. Treat your body to a new workout, a nice jog around the block, a personal training session, or a good night rest. Start being better to your body, so you can enjoy the fruits for many years to come.
