NASM Research Questions

by Renee
(California)

Can anyone give a little insight to the research questions? I understand that they are not counted towards your grade? I am just curious as to better prepare myself for these questions and the time constraints of this test. I have 5 weeks before I take the NASM test and have been studying like a crazy person.

I don't think you'd know
by: Kathy

I took the NASM last month and I had no way of identifying which questions were research questions. Since research questions are just questions they are thinking about including in future tests, they would still test on the knowledge you obtained during your studies.

BTW, the test was not that difficult. I studied like a crazy person as well from November to July--as long as you study everything carefully you should be okay. I took the practice test several times. There were actually a few of the practice test questions on the exam (although in most cases, answer choices were slightly different).
