NASM study materials

by James Kelly
(Greenbely, MD)

I've been calling around to different gyms in Maryland and decided to go with the NASM cert. Hopefully that doesn't backfire in the end.I was actually looking for some free study material that i could start studying before i get to MD. But i cant seem to come across any.

I have taken your practice test, and while that supplied me with some good information, i need more. If their is anyone you know with NASM material that they are not using any more, i would greatly appreciate it if you could send me the material or give them my email, and we could figure it out.

I'm really glad that you thought about making this site its been really helpful for me. I'm just starting to step foot into the personal trainer game. I'm currently separating from the Air Force and going back home to MD, where i plan on assuming my career as a personal trainer.

Use several study guides
by: Anonymous

I am set to take the exam between now and November. I have an exercise science degree, and have been working as a trainer for 6 years with a ACE-CPT.

You would think I would have no problems, but I hate taking exams. I ordered the NASM book and the study guide. I also bought the NASM secrets study guide that is listed on this page. I was worried at first because the company sells guides to ACE, NASM, CSCS, NSCA-CPT and the table of contents looks really similar. But it's not bad..its has a lot of info. I'm just not sure if I would depend on it completely for study material. I am using it to supplement the NASM study materials.
