PCDI Certification

by Stephanie Dirksen
(Hawaii)

About 8 years ago I took an online course through PCDI for Fitness and Nutrition Expert. I took it just for personal growth, but now I would like to use it to become a personal trainer. How do I know what certification I have? The school will not return my emails to help me with this. Thank you!

PCDI is a vocational school part of Ashworth University

Your PCDI certification is nearly useless unfortunately. The only thing that is giving it any value is if you actually learned something 8 years ago and managed to retain it.

If you are considering becoming a personal trainer, and you are serious about doing it right, you need to get educated. The best way is one of the diploma programs that will give you six months of intensive training including hands on experience. This will actually prepare you for a career as oppossed to an online course or a weekend workshop that does little to prepare you for the realities of being a personal trainer.
