Personal Trainer for Seniors

by Kip
(Oregon)

I'm looking at retiring, and wondering about becoming a personal trainer for seniors (ages 50+). Is there information to address this idea? I'm also wondering if a person (my age) needs to be a fitness expert and/or without any health issues, such as back pain from old injury.

You are not alone. PT is one of fastest growing 2nd careers. Go to NY Times article, march 2, 2011, "More Seniors Are becomming Personal Trainers". Lots of info on certification available on web.

Personal Trainer for Seniors
by: Anonymous

There is a huge market for Training Seniors in California. If you focus on that niche you will do very well because the Boomers are trying to keep thier youth and health while having the income to pay for it and stick to fitness programs. Good Luck!!
