personal training schools

by Bonnie Meyer
(Spring Church, PA)

I am a CPT in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. I am looking to get more educated in this field. I have been looking for a classroom/hands on training school in Pittsburgh or any surrounding area. I teach a body sculpting class three times a week but want to know more about actual personal training. As I stated, I have the certification to do so but want more knowledge than a weekend course could offer. Do you know of any school in Pennsylvania besides Philly or York? I learn so much better in a classroom setting. I have all the books and did "on-line" courses. I didn't like it and feel like I didn't get enough out of it. Can anyone help me find a school?

Thanks,

Bonnie Meyer

We maintain a master list of all the personal training schools we know about at the page below. If you know about a school that is not on the list, you can actually add it at the bottom of the page.

Big List of Personal Training Schools.

As far as your Pennsylvania options, NPTI in Philly is your best option, but since you said Philly and York is off the table, and the online route doesn't work for you, and the weekend workshop thing is insufficient... there aren't many options left.

Since online is not an option for you, you may try to hook up with a mentor. You can book sessions with more experienced trainers that can show you the ropes. They get paid, you get educated, and you can learn different things from different trainers. You may end up finding future business partners that way.
