I am on the same boat

My trainer says to first find out where you want to work at. He works at LA Fitness in Orange, CT and claims he makes good money. Rates vary for all of clients I'm sure, but i pay about $35 for a half hour and i got serious results.

He got a degree at Southern CT State University. You don't wanna be one of those know nothing trainers that got a certificate in a week. You won't get many clients and you'll be walked all over and won't be taken seriously.

I think its important to get in shape first and know your way around gym equipment and exercises. Then get a degree in physiology at least. Shop around, I've found a lot of options and this is a very flexible industry.

Figure out who you want to help: over weight, obese, pregnant, under weight, building mass, elderly, the list goes on.

Where do you want to work: at home, clients homes, your clients gym, your own gym, get employed by a franchise like body of change. It's very hard to find a starting point for me. What are your experiences so far? email me at crannco@aol.com if you have a minute.

from, Brian in CT
