Time and Dedication is all you need. . .

by Marcus Hodge, CPT
(Bronx, NY)

Time and Dedication is all you need. . .to pass this exam. From reading the posts regarding the NASM exam, I was under the impression that it was quite impossible and tricky.

However, after studying diligently, applying the various assessments, applications, and most importantly the OPT model, I was able to pass on my first try.

If you truly understand, and try not to memorize the text(except Overhead Squat assessment) its totally doable.

I actually went to the NASM website and did some browsing. I actually look at their exercise library for some new exercises and variations. So, while I was there I noticed a "Downloads" section. Within this section there was "Essential Study Tips" pdf. What a heaven sent this material has been. It provides a detailed outline on what sections, tables, figures, and even bullet points one should utilize their time while studying. This is truly helpful, and future NASM test takers should take advantage.

I hope I was as helpful as the ones before me. God's blessings!
