What to do if there are no schools in your state?

Hi, I'm in the area of Joelton, TN (close to Nashville). I would be highly interested in participating in the PT program. As the school list shows, there are no institutions in Tennessee or NC. Would it be possible to get the PT exam only by online trainings/ the online test? Or would I have to attend a class somewhere else(eg. Georgia). And what about extending the certification after a couple fo years, where would I have to got to renew the licence?
I have two academic degress in the field of exercise science and a national-certified trainer licence from Austria. I highly appreciate your feedback. Thanks, Lisi
