Which ACSM Certification?

I am seeking advice on which ACSM certification to get. I recently took a workshop for the Health Fitness Specialist because I was going for that cert. However, the preparation time looks to be a little longer than I had hoped. My question is would it be pointless to get certified in the “Certified Personal Trainer” right now if I plan on eventually getting the HFS. I work for Saint Mary's Center for Health and Wellness and I wish to do some personal training ASAP. I'm just wondering if the CPT is a waist of time if I'm getting the HFS in the future anyways? Any advice you can give would be great and thank you for your time and concern.
