PT saturation rate in NYC area

I live in NYC and pursuing my PT cert. with ACE (as a starter). I have been into fitness my entire life and decided to give PT a try. Can anyone provide insight into the job market for PT's in NYC? Are there too many PT's now in NYC that will prevent me from finding work?

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim

NYC is one of the top states for Personal Training

According to the statistics NYC is a great place to work as a Personal Trainer. I don't think you will have any trouble looking finding a job. BUT.. you will need to be certified and competitive.

Good Luck

NYC

New York City is one of the best places in the world to become a personal trainer. I am basing my opinion on both 9 years experience and government consensus statistics.

Yes, there are allot of trainers out there, but the demand is very high. If you can get very clear about the kind of clients that excite you (their demographic, goals, abilities, etc) and focus on building your brand around these clients, you will have no problem eliminating the competition.

Let us know how you are doing!
