Certs Accepted in Canada?

by Kelly Martin
(Dallas, TX )

Hi, I am in the States right now, but will be moving back to Canada in a year or so and eager to get my certs now, before moving back.
Is ACE/ ISSA and/or AFPA accepted as proper certifications for business in Canada?
Thank you in advance!

Canadian certification

Hello,

I know for a fact that ace is accepted in Canada, also there is Can-Fit-Pro, the largest canadian cerifying body that one can get certified through. Some clubs and insurance companies will accept other certifications, but it seems to depend who you talk to.

NAIT
by: Anonymous

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. They offer a two year program that is recognized by CSEP(Canadian Society of Exercise Phsyiology), NASM(National Academy of Sports Medicine), and NSCA (National Streangth and Conditioning Association). The Injury management course is interlaced with NASM's Corrective Exercise Specialist certifying course, and in the near future the Performance Training course will be interlaced with NASM's Performance Enhancement Specialist Certifying Course. NAIT offers somthing that is really valuable that you will find limited in most other programs and that is the practical experience and hands on training.
