Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Fitness Trainer?

I don't understand the difference between a certified personal trainer and certified fitness trainer? I have been looking at difference courses and some say "personal" and some say "fitness". If you are a certified fitness trainer, does that mean you are not certified to teach one on one??

I think it's basically the same, Personal Trainer Cert.
Different school will name their course/cert differently, eg ISSA-CFT , AFPA-CPT, ACE-PTC...etc

You must carefully read the curriculum of each school that you approach. Look at the textbooks, view the course outline and carefully think through your goals. Will the course teach you what you need.

Fitness Trainers in corporate gyms typically run the groupx programs, spin classes, etc.
Personal Trainers train individuals one on one.

Be sure your courses teach you what you will need for your choice of career. You should not rely on just an online certification...practical application is critical to really understand biomechanics and proper form. Most gyms want hours of experience with a pro, not just a cert.
