Gold's Gym Sales Manager

I worked at the Gold's Gym located in Capitol Hill at 409 3rd Street, S.W., Washington, DC. There were also two other locations nearby in Washington, DC, but Capitol Hill was the only location hiring at the time.

My position at Gold's Gym was Sales Manager. On a day-to-day basis, I was responsible for managing membership sales generation for their facility. I was also responsible for recruiting, hiring and training Fitness Consultants.

The job was very challenging - not anyone can do this type of work. You have to be very motivated, have excellent communication and team building skills. For a large chain like Gold's Gym, they require a lot from you. In addition, you have to have solid sales experience, knowledge of how the facility operates, and know how to operate sales and management systems.

The pay was EXCELLENT - I would have to say it was better than most General Sales Management positions offered at many high profile companies. The benefits were even better - bonuses, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), training programs, and FREE GYM MEMBERSHIP!

I highly recommend the position to any motivated, team playing, sales professional. If you don't have the desire to succeed, this place isn't for you. If you wake up every day with a new mission to accomplish, Gold's Gym is for YOU!

I left to pursue other opportunities in the sales field working for a very well known internet search engine company which offers even more competitive pay and benefits. Without Gold's Gym, I wouldn't be where I am today. Gold's Gym is awesome!
