IFPA is the best cert

by Steve
(Texas)

I just came across this site and its really well done- a lot of good info. But the best certification to me is IFPA. They have the best customer service, they really helped me out. By the time I was certified I knew everything I needed to. Other personal trainers that are certified by other organizations don't know half of what I do. ( Honestly, thats fine with me - it makes me look better)I recommended IFPA for anybody. Just Starting, Or needing another cert. which they have a ton of.

IFPA PFT

by Kourt
(Winter Haven)

I certified with IFPA awhile ago and had let it go for awhile. To recertify I took the PFT over. Its changed alot since I took it the first time. Its been updated several times since when I took the exam the first time. There is no longer an essay portions because of their accreditation.

But besides that I really enjoyed it (I shine more on essays). There is alot of information. Even though I have been a personal trainer for 10+ years, I had forgotten alot of the material, and there was also alot of new stuff that wasn't in there the first time.

Overall, I would recommend IFPA to anyone that is serious about personal training even for those that are already certified. But beware, this is not an exam you can study for in a week and be good to go . It took about 2 months of studying and I was already familiar with a good portion of the material.

IFPA

by JD
(Florida)

I've been in the fitness industry for several years. First working as a personal trainer and now owning my own gym. I always recommend my trainers become IFPA certified. Their courses have the most comprehensive and practical information. I personally have several of their certifications including their PFT, Advanced PFT, Sports Nutrition, Advanced Sports Nutrition, and their Sports Medicine course. I also am PFT certified with ACE. As a personal trainer, I had all the necessary tools to become successful. And as a gym owner, that has hired numerous trainers and has seen how, IFPA trainers stack up against trainers with other certifications. In my experience, I witnessed a difference
