NFPT exam is very hard

by jenna
(cranston)

I just went in to take the exam. It was extremely difficult and absolutely nothing on the study guide was mentioned anywhere on the exam. It was all about anatomy and rarely any questions on actual exercise/kinesiology. Before you take this exam, make sure you memorize EVERY muscle in the human body and their anatomical positions or i guarantee you, you will fail.

NFPT Anatomy and Physiology Exam
by: Anonymous

The exam had nothing to do with training. Rather to pass this 'exam' you need to memorize all the bolded words from the manual and where they go as they relate to the human body, i.e. physiology, anatomy/bones...etc. Do that and you will pass. Most of the test was on human anatomy and bones. Know them inside and out and you will do well. You can get practice exams/study guide/the manual and that will help, but memorization of the vocabulary is the way to go.

I would recommend NASM or ACE over NFPT they at least focus on training and not as much on the anatomy. Maybe NFPT should train nurses instead.
