Recieving ACE cert. throught ptonthenet.com

A buddy of mine got his ACE certification throught a web site called ptonthenet.com. He was able to take the test on his own computer and not at a testing center. I was wondering how he was able to do it, and if his certification is legit?

Hey there. Your buddy probably purchased an ACE CEC (continuing education credits) course/exam through ptonthenet and got ACE credits for that... but there is no way he would have done the actual certification online. PtontheNEt.com does lots of cool stuff, but giving out certifications is not one of them.

ACE has the same process as all of the ACCREDITED Certification groups, NSCA, NASM, ACSM to name the largest. You need to verify who you are at a proctored live testing site or find a computer testing site that is proctored.
If you could do it all at home there is no way for the testing agency to know who is actually taking the test.
Any legitimate certification organization operates this way.
If everyone can pass the test - the test is meaningless.
