Bally's is going under

by Ted
(Glendale, AZ)

I worked for Bally Total Fitness in Glendale,AZ and it took 1.5 months to get my employee id and another 2 weeks to get my password to get in there system and I was till expected to meet my qouta every month.

Bally's has great people working for them but it's a very unorganized company. Most Bally's gyms have equipment thats 20 years old and while most gyms are offering 0 down to join and memberships as low as 20 a month. Bally's till makes you pay as low as 29 a month with almost 60 dollars to join.

There personal trainers have been instructed to sell at level 3 which is 61 a session. While companies like LA Fitness have personal training as low as 35 a session.

If Bally's doesn't get with the time there going to lose the rest of there chains. They've already lost 20% of there company.

How is Bally's still in business?

by Shannon
(Phoenix, AZ)

I used to work at Bally's and was so sick of the corporate crap and the fact that they didn't care about anything except money. The club I worked in was so run down and dirty, there were machines breaking all the time, which took weeks to get fixed. And the downstairs a/c broke in the middle of the summer and Bally's refused to fix it because the gym floor is upstairs, so that makes it "a luxury for employees." I worked there for about a year and it was broken when I started and was still broken when I left. Now this club is in Arizona, and when it gets over 100 outside a/c is almost a necessity.

I don't know why people would continue to go to this gym, everything there was either broken or just disgusting. I guess maybe because it was only $25/month. This is probably the reason why they go through trainers faster than I thought was possible, I don't know how any trainer could stay there for more than a year or two. I could go on forever about how much I dislike Bally's, but I have to admit, I got some good experience while working there, but would never again work for Bally's.
