Respecting other trainers

by Joe Bartovic NASM-CPT,PES
(Middletown, CT)

It burns me that some trainers out there will bad mouth myself or other trainers. I see it too often in the 4 clubs I direct at. Hold yourself to a standard, treat other trainers with respect when you're talking to them or about them.

The NASM code of ethics states: Conduct him/herself in a manner that merits the respect of the public, other colleagues and NASM. also..Not to make false or derogatory assumptions concerning the practices of colleagues and/or clients.

That could be of some help to some. Other trainers may still say things about you but don't sink to their level. And that makes you a better trainer.
