Exercise Specialist/BSB/CPT

by Loughman

Test was awful. Study materials didn't help much. Very misleading as to what actual test questions will be. Highly recommend online practice tests. Study the Cardiorespiratiory testing section, exercise and pregnancy guidlines, Recommended nutritional guidlines/calorie intake, exercise and diabetes, kyphosis/lordosis/scoliosis/etc. Also prime movers in major muscle movements and specifically the muscles of the leg. Most of all, use common sense when taking the test. choose answers that limit your liability. eliminate answers that dont make sense. watch for "pretend terms" and phrases that are there just to make you second guess yourself and throw you off. if a phrase or term doesn't look familiar don't choose it. do not second guess yourself!! and read the directions for the simulation problems carefully...choose ALL appropriate answers!

Darn good advice - thanks!!!
by: Anonymous

I have been given the oppertunity to advance mt possitionat my job. Only one catch, It has to be that I get a Certification in personal training in order to get promoted. What & WHy you might ask, Well Management of Entertainers/bands now want the band members to stay in shape. Which means in order to actually get promoted and make sure that the members do at least 30 mins. a day of Exercise I have to be Certified as a trainer to say that they get it NO PROBLEM Though, Im cool with -it and understand totally. But your comment hit home as to the fact use common sense and what to study for. I have been given 3 weeks to study and pass this test. Being a former martial artist I figured it would be somewhat easy to pass. Yeah Rite......
I am in 2nd week of study and have 1 week b4 the test, its so crazy i passed the online pretest missing only 2 and was amazed that i could pass the pretest after the 2nd time taking it (ACE ) but I nkow i know little about what to do with anatomy, Formulas make me want to SNAP and go crazy trying to understand them... Any advice for me would be appriciated and thanks for this advice it helped me be aware.
