Memorize the calculations

I prepared for the ACSM exam by taking the $375.00 workshop and had a study session with a former exam taker/passer. I did not pass the exam the first time. Being a graduate of UC Berkeley, this came as quite a blow to my ego! :}

The part that I messed up was memorizing the calculations. I was told that there would be charts to refer to as helpers on the exam and there are no such things. Even though you will be using charts in the field, you have to know everything for the ACSM exam.

I personally had not taken the extra time to memorize, memorize, memorize!

Depends

It depends on what exam you are taking as to how many equations you need to know. The CPT exam you needed to know few equations. Very few.

ugh!
by: ch

I just took the test and did not pass! I felt it had a lot of physiology questions, WOW! I have been training certified with AFAA. I wanted to get the ACSM certification because it seems to be the one that most clubs will except if you do not have a BS degree. Now I know why, just missed passing and will re-take it. I feel so much better after reading your comment.

Thank You!
