Personal Training Website

by Brandon
(Louisiana)

I am currently in the planning phase of building personal training website that will be a membership site. I will have several certifications by the time of launch, but my main concerns are the legal/liability issues.

Initially all personal training will be hands off, (strictly online tutoring and program creations) but as I create a solid client base and hire personal trainers across the U.S. there will be personal training for local members of the site with will expand as I grow in numbers of employees.

Can I have 1 license that would blanket the entire operation across the United States or would I have to get licensed in each state where I have an employee whether that person is performing their duties strictly online or they are instructing clients in a 1 on 1 situation?
Also, what about the liability of "just" the online interactions? Will I need any form of insurance for this or just well thought out Membership agreements and waivers?
